The Bluestreak Cleaner Wrasse ranges throughout the Indo-Pacific and reaches around 10 cm, its slim body marked by a bold black stripe over electric blue. In the wild it provides an essential cleaning service, and other fish queue at its station to be groomed. It is best left to experienced keepers because it can struggle to accept prepared foods and relies heavily on parasites and mucus in nature. Offer frequent small feedings of mysis, finely chopped seafood, and enriched frozen foods in a mature 190-litre (50-gallon) or larger reef tank at 24-26C, salinity 1.024-1.026, pH 8.1-8.4. It is peaceful and reef-safe. Provide plenty of fish activity so it can perform natural cleaning behavior and keep water pristine.
