The Bicolor Angelfish (Centropyge bicolor) comes from the Indo-Pacific and reaches about 15 cm, on the larger end for dwarf angels. Its front half and tail are bright yellow while the rear body is deep blue, with a blue 'eyebrow' marking above the eye. It is active and inquisitive but can be a little shy when first introduced. Provide a 190-litre (50-gallon) or larger mature reef tank with generous live rock for grazing and refuge, at 24-26C, salinity 1.024-1.026, pH 8.1-8.4. Feed a varied diet of marine algae, spirulina, mysis, and angelfish foods several times daily. It is reef-safe with caution, as it may nip corals and clams. Add it to an established system and keep only one dwarf angel per tank.
