How can we help?

Everything you need to know about NetForPet, from your first pet profile to lost-pet alerts, bookings and privacy. Can't find it here? We're one message away.

Getting started

What is NetForPet?

It's the social network built entirely around pets and the people who love them. Give each of your animals a rich profile, join breed communities, share posts, reunite lost pets, book vets and groomers, adopt through verified shelters, and explore a 700+ breed encyclopedia โ€” all in one warm place.

Does it cost anything?

For pet owners, NetForPet is free. Profiles, communities, the lost-pet system, the health journal and everything else you use as a pet owner don't cost money; a few spots show ads to help keep it running. Businesses start on a free plan too, with optional premium tools and promoted placement planned โ€” see the Business section below.

How do I create an account?

Tap Sign up and confirm your email. A short welcome wizard then walks you through what you're here for, your pet's category and breed, a few communities to join and your first pet profile โ€” so your feed feels like home from day one.

Do I need a pet to join?

Not at all. You can explore communities, the pet-friendly map, the breed encyclopedia and adoptable pets as a pet lover in waiting. Add a pet from your profile whenever you're ready.

Can I install it on my phone?

Yes. NetForPet is a progressive web app: open it in your browser and choose โ€œAdd to Home Screenโ€ (or tap our install prompt) for an app icon and a full-screen, native feel โ€” no app store required.

Which languages are available?

Seven: English, Hebrew, Spanish, French, Russian, Chinese and Arabic. Switch anytime from the language button in the top bar or in Settings โ€” the whole app, including right-to-left for Hebrew and Arabic, adapts instantly.

Is NetForPet really free?

Yes โ€” the whole app is free: profiles, communities, health tracking, lost & found, everything. We also offer an optional Supporter tier that helps fund the platform and gives you a badge and a visibility boost. You can join with paws (earned in-app) or a small monthly amount. Supporter never locks a feature you already have.

Can I turn my paws into real rewards?

Yes. On the Rewards page, alongside the virtual store, brands offer real perks: discount codes and prize raffles you unlock by spending paws (which you earn for free). Codes are given out one per person; raffle entries can be bought more than once. Brands fund the prizes โ€” you never spend real money, and the core app stays free.

Who is Pip?

Pip is NetForPet's friendly mascot โ€” a very good dog who shares one small daily nudge on your home feed to help you and your pet get the most out of the app. Tap Pip's card to explore, or open Pip's page from the More menu.

Pets & profiles

How do I add a pet?

From your profile, choose Add a pet and follow the wizard: pick a category โ€” dog, cat, bird, reptile, horse and many more โ€” a breed from the catalog, then add photos and details. Add as many pets as you like and switch between them with the active-pet button in the top bar.

What goes on a pet's profile?

Photos, breed and personality, plus a private health journal for vaccinations, weight, medications and vet documents. You can set goals and celebrate milestones too. Health records stay private to your family, enforced by real server-side security rules.

Is my pet's health journal private?

Yes. Health records and their documents are visible only to your pet's family โ€” no other member can read them, and it's enforced on the server, not just hidden in the interface.

Will I get reminders for vaccinations and medications?

Yes. The health journal turns vaccination, medication and vet-visit due dates into gentle reminders, all gathered on your Health reminders page so nothing slips through the cracks.

Can I share a pet with family or co-owners?

Yes. Invite family members or caretakers to a pet's profile so everyone can help with the health journal and daily care. Rehoming or passing a pet on? You can transfer ownership to a new family, and they confirm the handover.

What is the collar QR tag?

Every pet can generate a printable QR tag โ€” a collar disc, keychain tag or door/carrier card. If someone finds your pet and scans it, they're taken straight to a page that helps them reach you. Only the pet's family can print it.

Can my pet have a public page?

Yes. Each pet has a shareable public page you can send to friends or link from a QR tag. You decide what's shared, and private things like the health journal never appear there.

My pet is a mix or unknown breed โ€” is that okay?

Absolutely. You can choose a mixed or unknown breed in every category, so rescues and one-of-a-kind companions get a full profile just like everyone else.

What is the energy level on a pet profile?

Energy (chill / balanced / high energy) describes how much action your pet needs. It's required when creating or editing a pet, appears on the profile, and powers the dating-deck energy filter so playmates actually match.

What does the ๐Ÿ’‰ vaccination badge mean?

The badge appears automatically when the pet has a vaccination record whose next-due date is still in the future. It's derived from the health journal by our servers โ€” owners can't set it by hand โ€” and it unlocks boarding, daycare and pet-sitting bookings.

What happens on a memorial pet page?

When an owner marks a pet as passed away, the profile becomes a memorial page with a rainbow banner. Anyone can light a candle ๐Ÿ•ฏ๏ธ and leave a short tribute โ€” the family gets a gentle notification. Memorial pets can't be edited or booked.

Will I get tips tailored to my pet?

Yes โ€” your home feed has a For You card that surfaces the breed care guide for one of your pets, rotating daily so there's always something new. It even adapts when your pet is still young.

Can I track what I spend on my pet?

Yes. Each pet's profile has an Expenses ledger where you โ€” and anyone who co-manages the pet โ€” can log food, vet bills, grooming and more in your own currency. It totals the month and breaks it down by category.

Is there an AI assistant?

Yes โ€” open the AI assistant from the More menu. Ask about health, nutrition and training (grounded in your pet's profile and records), or switch to 'talk to your pet' and your pet replies in first person. It's guidance, not veterinary care โ€” for emergencies, see a vet.

Communities & the feed

What are communities?

Communities are gathering places built around breeds and shared interests. Join the ones that fit your pets to meet people with the same kind of companion, swap advice and see relevant posts in your feed.

How does the feed work?

Your home feed blends posts from the people and communities you follow. Share photos, videos, updates and polls, then react, comment and bookmark the ones you love. The more you follow, the more it feels like yours.

Who can see what I post?

You choose per post: public for anyone, followers only, or private. On a private account, new posts default to followers and new followers need your approval.

What are stories and hashtags?

Stories are quick, in-the-moment posts, and hashtags help your posts get discovered by topic. Tap any hashtag to see everything shared under it.

Can I save posts for later?

Yes โ€” bookmark any post and find it again under your bookmarks. Perfect for care tips, training threads or that groomer recommendation.

Can I message other members?

Yes. Start a direct message from anyone's profile, or create a group chat for your pack. Share photos and videos, react and reply, and search back through a conversation whenever you need to.

Are there events and meetups?

Yes. The Meetups section lists park meetups, adoption days and playdates hosted by the community. RSVP, add them to your calendar and coordinate with everyone in the event discussion.

Can I filter my feed by species?

Yes โ€” chips above the feed (๐Ÿถ ๐Ÿฑ ๐Ÿฆœโ€ฆ) narrow every tab to posts tagged with pets of that species. Your choice is remembered on this device. Untagged posts appear only under "All".

What is the cuteness duel?

In Fun โ†’ Cuteness duel you're shown two community pets โ€” tap the cuter one. The winner collects a win on their profile's community-cutest leaderboard, and every vote earns you PawsPoints (daily-capped). You can't vote for your own pets.

What is the weekly photo challenge?

Every Monday an official challenge opens in Fun โ†’ Photo contests with a fresh prompt (in your language). Enter one photo, vote for others, and the community crowns a winner when it closes. Some weeks carry a brand sponsor.

What are pack walks and the Pack Leader badge?

Pack walks ๐Ÿ•โ€๐Ÿฆบ are group dog walks in the events calendar โ€” filter the list to see only them. They can be hosted by professional trainers or by community Pack Leaders: trusted volunteers who earn the badge from the team for organizing great local meetups. Want to lead walks in your area? Reach out via the contact page.

Why are the reactions called Boop, Treat and Yum?

Because a pet network should speak like one. Tap a post to give it a ๐Ÿพ Boop, or hold to pick a ๐Ÿฆด Treat, ๐ŸŸ Yum, โค๏ธ Love or ๐Ÿ˜Š Happy. Same friendly gestures, in all seven languages โ€” it's your pack's own little vocabulary.

What is the Hood?

The Hood is your neighborhood community โ€” you join it automatically by where you are, so you never land in an empty room. Open ๐Ÿ˜๏ธ The Hood from the home strip to see the pets and pet owners around you right now and post to a shared neighborhood wall. It's scoped to a coarse ~5 km area, never your exact address.

How do playdates work?

Tap Playdate on the events page and we pre-fill a quick meetup from your pet's profile โ€” just pick a time and place. It appears with a ๐Ÿพ badge and neighbors can RSVP, exactly like any event. You can also start one straight from a dating match's chat.

Can my pet post in the first person?

Yes โ€” when you compose a post and select a single one of your pets under "Posting as," the post is published in your pet's voice: their name and ๐Ÿพ lead the byline (with a small "via you"), and it links to their profile. Tag two or more pets and it stays a post from you.

What are mood tags?

Mood tags are a free, one-tap way to give a post your pet's vibe โ€” ๐Ÿ˜Š Happy, ๐Ÿ’จ Zoomies, ๐Ÿ˜ด Sleepy, ๐Ÿ– Hungry and more. Pick one in the composer and it shows as a little badge on the post. They're playful, pet-native, and available in every language.

Can I keep a log of our walks?

Yes. When you end a walk, NetForPet saves it to your private activity journal and shows this week's total right on the walk card. You can also share a finished walk to your feed in one tap โ€” the caption is written for you.

What is click-to-donate, and does it cost me anything?

Nothing โ€” it's free for you. Brands fund a cause pool, and every time you tap "donate" (or share a post with the cause's hashtag) a small amount is released from that pool to a real cause. You can see the running total the whole community has raised right on the home page. There's a small daily cap per person so one account can't drain a sponsor's pool.

Discovery & matchmaking

What is the live map?

The live map shows pet-friendly places near you โ€” parks, vets, groomers and cafรฉs โ€” with real-time check-ins, so you can see who's at the dog park right now and check in yourself when you arrive.

What is PawMatch?

PawMatch helps your pet find friends, playdates or a mate. Mark a pet as looking on their profile, then swipe through nearby pets โ€” when both sides say yes, it's a match and you can start chatting.

How does search work?

Search the whole app from the top bar to find people, pets, breeds, communities, places and hashtags. Type just a couple of letters to jump straight to what you're looking for.

Can I see how my profile is doing?

Yes. My Stats shows how your world is growing โ€” profile views, followers, and the reactions your posts and pets are collecting.

How do dating-deck filters work?

Open Filters above the deck to narrow by distance, age, size, energy level, or vaccinated-only. Your choices are saved on this device and apply to every pet you swipe as. Pets missing the data a filter needs are hidden while that filter is active.

What is swipe-to-adopt?

On the Impact page (Adoption tab) tap โ€œSwipe to adoptโ€ to meet every available rescue pet, one card at a time. Swiping right opens the shelter's adoption application for that pet; passing hides them on this device so the deck never repeats.

How do park features and walk weather work on the map?

Park pages show community-confirmed features โ€” fenced ๐Ÿšง, shade ๐ŸŒณ, water ๐Ÿšฐ, clean โœจ and small/large-dog areas. When you review a park you can answer yes/no for each one; a feature shows as confirmed once at least 60% of reviewers agree. Every place panel also shows live local weather with a ๐Ÿพ "great walk weather" hint โ€” worldwide, no setup needed. On the map you can filter parks to only those with the features your dog needs.

Who writes the breed care guides โ€” can I trust them?

Every guide is real husbandry information, and many now carry an expert byline: a named professional (e.g. a licensed vet) who has reviewed the content vouches for it, shown with a โœ“ under the guide. Anonymous content becomes a trust signal โ€” and a way for the pros in our directory to lend their name.

Can I post on a park or place's wall?

Yes โ€” every place on the map has its own wall. Open a place and scroll to "Place wall" to share a tip, a photo or a question; the comment threads under each post are its chat. It's the same feed you know, scoped to that one spot.

Where can I find pet insurance or pet-friendly hotels?

Head to Insurance & deals (linked in the footer). We curate trusted pet-insurance providers, pet-friendly travel options and subscription boxes, tagged by the countries they serve so you see what's relevant where you live. Some are partner links that help keep NetForPet free, and we say so clearly on the page.

What is the Magazine?

The Magazine is our editorial corner: guides and stories written by our team and by breed experts โ€” care deep-dives, first-year checklists, behaviour explainers and real adoption stories. It's free, needs no account, and every article is written for a specific species or breed rather than pets in general. Find it in the footer, on /browse, or from โŒ˜K.

Lost & Found

What do I do if my pet goes missing?

Open Lost & Found and file a lost report. Members in your area are alerted, and your report becomes a shareable page so the whole community can help bring your friend home.

What are area lost-pet alerts?

When a pet goes missing nearby, members who've opted into local alerts get notified โ€” turning your neighborhood into an extra set of eyes. You control these in your notification preferences.

Can I print a flyer?

Yes. Every lost report generates a printable flyer with a built-in QR code. Anyone who scans it lands on a sighting page where they can report exactly where they saw your pet.

Someone found a pet โ€” how can I help?

If there's a collar QR tag, scan it to reach the family instantly. Otherwise use Scan a QR on a poster, or browse Lost & Found to match the pet with an open report.

What is Scan a QR?

It's a quick scanner for collar tags, profile cards and rescue posters โ€” point your camera and jump straight to the right pet, profile or report. No camera? Paste the link from the QR instead.

What are neighborhood safety warnings?

On the Lost & Found page's โ€œArea warningsโ€ tab anyone can report a hazard (like poison bait) or a dangerous animal. Members within 5 km get an alert; lost-pet reports alert 15 km and found-pet reports 10 km. You can turn these off in Settings.

Booking pros & the marketplace

How do I find a pro?

Pet Pros lists vets, groomers, walkers, trainers, photographers and sitters near you. Filter by service and rating, read reviews, then send a booking request โ€” bookings are made per pet.

How do bookings work?

You request a time; the pro confirms or declines; and after your visit you can leave a review. Track every booking's status โ€” pending, confirmed, completed โ€” from your Bookings page, and chat with the pro along the way.

What is the marketplace?

A place to buy and sell pet goods with the community โ€” food, gear, accessories and more. Browse listings, place orders and follow them from your Orders page.

How does pet-sitting work?

Pet-sitting here is neighbour-to-neighbour community help โ€” no fees and no currency. Post a request with your dates, sitters nearby offer to help, you accept the one you like best, and you sort out the details together in chat.

What are live walk and visit updates?

During a sit or a booked visit, your sitter or pro can check in and share a live log โ€” walks, meals, potty breaks, meds and photos โ€” so you can follow along in real time and save the summary to your pet's health journal when it's done.

Can I adopt a pet here?

Yes. The Pawsitive Impact Hub connects you with verified shelters and rescues, adoptable pets, success stories, and ways to help by fostering or volunteering.

Why can't I book boarding or a sitter without vaccinations?

Boarding, daycare and pet-sitting bookings require vaccination coverage through the end of the stay โ€” for everyone's safety. Update the pet's vaccination records (with a next-due date) in the wizard's health step and the gate opens automatically. Vet visits are never blocked.

What do the ๐Ÿ” and ๐Ÿ˜๏ธ badges on a business mean?

They're trust signals computed from real activity, not self-declared. ๐Ÿ” repeat clients counts people who completed two or more bookings with that business โ€” retention is the strongest quality signal. ๐Ÿ˜๏ธ neighbors recommend counts 4โ€“5โ˜… reviews from the community. Businesses can't edit these numbers themselves.

Will I be reminded to come back for a follow-up?

Yes. When your vet sets a follow-up date on your visit, NetForPet reminds you automatically as the date approaches โ€” a week ahead and on the day โ€” so a recommended check-up doesn't slip. If you shared the full visit into your pet's health journal, the reminder rides along with the record instead.

Can I ask a vet a question?

Yes โ€” Ask a Vet is a free community Q&A. Post a question (you can tag a species), and anyone can answer; answers from verified vet professionals carry a badge, and you can mark the one that helped most as accepted. It's general guidance, not a diagnosis โ€” for anything urgent, see a vet in person.

How do I find pet professionals in my city?

Open Pet Pros and filter by service type and search your city โ€” it works worldwide. We also publish per-city directory pages (groomers, vets, walkers and more in your city) so you can browse local professionals with real owner reviews and book from their profile.

How do reviews and trust scores work for businesses?

Only people who completed a real booking or purchase can leave a review โ€” so every rating is verified, one per transaction. After a visit you can also answer a few quick yes/no questions; those aggregate into public trust percentages on the listing (e.g. "96% said it was as described") that can't be faked in free text. Businesses can post one public reply per review, and can rate their customers too, giving good guests a portable reputation.

How do I get paid for marketplace sales?

Open your seller account from Orders โ†’ Sales. In-app card checkout is coming soon; until it launches, you can list for free and arrange payment with the buyer directly. When it does launch, listing stays free and a platform fee applies only to paid checkout โ€” 7% per sale, or 4% with a Pro seller subscription โ€” and your earnings appear in your seller dashboard.

Business & Pro accounts

How do I become a pro?

Tap Become a pro from the Pet Pros directory or the business area and publish a professional profile โ€” it's free to start. Shops, vets, groomers, trainers and sitters are all welcome; once you're live, clients can find and book you.

What does NetForPet cost for businesses?

The core business tools โ€” your public profile, bookings, storefront and dashboard โ€” are free to start. We don't currently take a commission on the jobs you book here: you arrange payment with your client directly. (Selling physical products through marketplace checkout is the one exception โ€” that carries a platform fee per sale, and it isn't live yet.) As NetForPet grows we plan optional paid upgrades, such as advanced tools and promoted placement, and nothing is charged unless you explicitly choose one.

What's in the business dashboard?

Everything you need to run your services: pending and upcoming appointments, a client list with visit history, a storefront for your products, and insights on completed jobs and your accept rate.

How do I set prices and get paid?

You set your own prices and arrange payment directly with each client โ€” just agree the details in chat when you confirm a booking. For bookings, NetForPet doesn't handle the money at all. Selling physical products is different: marketplace checkout (coming soon) processes the payment and charges a platform fee per sale โ€” 7%, or 4% with a Pro seller subscription.

How do clients book me?

Once your profile is published you appear in the Pet Pros directory. Clients filter, compare and send booking requests, which land in your dashboard for you to confirm or decline.

Can I sell products too?

Yes. Your storefront lets you list products alongside your services, so clients can shop and book in one place.

I just listed my business โ€” what is the mentor card?

New businesses see a getting-started card on their dashboard with two things: a personalized checklist (photos, bio, services, availability, prices โ€” each proven to lift bookings) and a suggested mentor โ€” the top-rated veteran in your field. One tap opens a direct chat to ask them anything. The card disappears automatically once you get your first reviews.

Why run my business here instead of a WhatsApp or Facebook group?

A group chat can't take a real booking, prove a review is from a real client, or be found by pet owners searching your area โ€” NetForPet does all three, plus a client roster that's yours, vaccination-checked clients for boarding, and a storefront for shops. It's free to start, and you take payment from your clients directly.

Can I earn by referring pet owners to NetForPet?

Yes โ€” your business dashboard has a Refer & earn panel with your personal invite link and a ready-to-paste media kit. Every pet owner who joins through you earns you both PawsPoints and brings more bookings your way. You talk to dozens of owners a week; now that reach works for you.

Can I charge for my event?

Yes. When you create an event you can turn on ticketing and set a price and capacity in your own currency. Free events keep their one-tap RSVP; ticketed ones issue each attendee a scannable ticket you can check in at the door. Paid tickets are processed securely once card payments are enabled.

I run a business listed on the map โ€” how do I claim it?

Open your listing on the map, tap "Is this your business? Claim it", and enter your business email. We'll email you a 6-digit code; enter it and the listing is yours to manage. Verification is by email so only the real owner can claim it, and your listing shows a verified badge afterwards.

How do brand surveys and insights work?

Under Insights (in the More menu) you can answer short, brand-sponsored surveys and earn paws. Your individual answer is always private โ€” brands only ever see anonymized aggregates, and results are hidden until enough people respond, so no single answer can be traced back to you.

Can I take or teach training courses?

Yes โ€” under Training (in the More menu) you'll find structured video programs from certified trainers. Enroll, work through the lessons with the built-in clicker and whistle, and submit a video-test; the trainer reviews it with feedback (24h target). Pass the final test and you earn a shareable certificate. Trainers can publish their own paid programs and earn per enrollment.

Safety & privacy

Who can see my information?

You're in control. Set an audience on every post, switch on a private account so new followers need approval, and keep sensitive things like your pet's health journal visible only to your family.

Do you sell my data?

Never. We don't sell your data. Private messages are only ever reviewed for moderation when something is reported.

How do I block or mute someone?

You can block members and mute words you'd rather not see. Muted words are hidden from your feed, and blocking stops all interaction. Manage both from your settings and profile.

How does moderation work?

Reports are reviewed by real people, and actions are logged. Moderators can warn, remove content, or suspend accounts that break the community rules. If something was removed by mistake, reach out through the report tools.

Where is my data stored?

On Google Firebase (Firestore, Storage and Authentication). Passwords are handled by Firebase Authentication and are never visible to us. Your privacy is enforced by real security rules, not just promises.

Can I export or delete my data?

Yes. Export your data as a file anytime from Settings. Deleting your account removes your profile, pets, posts, stories, listings and reports through a server-side cascade โ€” messages you've sent stay with the people you sent them to.

What are message requests?

A first message from someone you don't mutually follow arrives as a message request โ€” it waits in its own section, and the sender can send only one message until you accept (or simply reply). Dating matches skip the gate since matching is already mutual consent.

Who can see that I'm on a walk?

When you tap "Start a walk" on your home, the people who follow you can see you're out, and those nearby get a friendly ping ("someone you follow is walking near you") โ€” a nudge to meet up. Only a coarse area is ever shared, the walk auto-expires after two hours, and you can turn the ping off under Settings โ†’ notifications.

Is there insurance on bookings?

No. NetForPet does not provide, arrange or underwrite insurance, and a booking made here carries no cover from us. A sitting, boarding or professional booking is an agreement between you and the other person, and any damage or liability is a matter between you. If you want real cover, we list independent pet-insurance providers under Insurance & deals โ€” they are third parties, and any policy is between you and them. We would rather tell you plainly that you are not covered than let you assume that you are.

Account & languages

How do I change the language?

Use the language button in the top bar, or open Settings โ†’ Appearance & language. All seven languages are available, and Hebrew switches the whole interface to right-to-left automatically.

Can I use dark mode?

Yes. Choose light, dark or match-your-system from the theme toggle in the top bar or in Settings.

How do I control notifications?

In Settings you can mute the notification types you don't want โ€” likes, comments, new followers, mentions and nearby lost-pet alerts โ€” for both the in-app bell and email.

What are PawsPoints and rewards?

You earn PawsPoints for being active โ€” posting, commenting, voting and daily check-ins โ€” and level up from Puppy all the way to Alpha. Claim a daily bonus, take on challenges, and, if you opt in, climb the community leaderboards.

How do referrals work?

Invite friends with your personal link or QR card. When someone joins with it, you each earn 50 PawsPoints โ€” a little thank-you for helping the community grow.

Are there contests, challenges and badges?

Yes. Take on challenges, enter photo contests and collect badges as you go โ€” a playful way to celebrate milestones and show off your pet.

Are there games to play?

Yes โ€” the Games & fun corner has pet trivia, memory match, photo contests and a โ€œwhich breed fits me?โ€ quiz. A playful way to test your pet knowledge and discover new breeds.

How do I get help or suggest a feature?

Head to Suggestions & feedback, also reachable from the floating Feedback button anywhere in the app. Ask a question, request a feature or a new animal category, and vote on what matters most โ€” we read everything.

Help Center

This is the practical guide to NetForPet: how each part works, what other people can see, and what to do when something goes wrong. Two things are worth knowing before anything else. NetForPet is free for pet owners โ€” profiles, communities, the health journal, lost-pet alerts and messaging cost nothing. And we do not handle money today: if you book a groomer or buy something in the marketplace, you pay the other person directly. We don't take a commission on bookings; in-app checkout for the marketplace is not live yet, and when it launches it will carry a platform fee per sale.

Getting started and your first pet profile

Create an account with email, Google or your phone number, then add your first pet โ€” a name, a species, a breed if you know it, a birthday if you know it, and one good photo. Nothing else is required. You can fill in the rest whenever you feel like it.

The breed you choose does more than it looks: it puts you in that breed's community, shapes what you see, and links your pet to its species guide. If your pet is a mix, or a rescue of unknown origin, pick the closest match or leave it blank โ€” nothing breaks.

Add as many pets as you like and move between them with the pet switcher. The active pet is the one that posts, books and sits at the top of your profile. When your browser offers to add NetForPet to your home screen, take it: from then on it behaves like an installed app.

The health journal and reminders

Every pet has a private health journal. Add a record โ€” a vaccination, a treatment, a weight, a vet visit, a document โ€” with its date and, where it applies, the date it is next due. Weights build a chart over time, which is the fastest way to catch a slow change you would otherwise miss.

Anything with a next-due date becomes a reminder: it shows as due or overdue in the journal, and if you leave milestone notifications on, we tell you. The journal is for keeping records, not for diagnosing. NetForPet will never tell you what to give an animal or how much of it โ€” that decision belongs to your vet, who knows the animal in front of them.

When a vet, a sitter or a boarding kennel asks for a record, you can create a share link to it. The link lasts 30 days, anyone who holds it can open that record, and you can revoke it at any moment.

Posting, communities and the Hood

Post as your active pet or as yourself โ€” photos, a walk, a question, a small victory. Every post has an audience: public, or followers only. Communities are the topical rooms: one for each breed, plus the ones people create. Join the ones you actually want in your feed and leave the rest.

The Hood is your neighborhood: a local wall, the pets who live near you, and what is happening close by. It needs an approximate location, which you set yourself. We work with a coarse area, never a precise pin on your home.

Lost & found and the radius alert

If a pet goes missing, open Lost & Found and file a report. Pick the pet, drop a pin where it was last seen, add a photo and a description, and publish. The report reaches people nearby โ€” that is the radius alert โ€” and appears on the map with a search circle around the last-seen point. Anyone who spots the animal can message you straight from the report.

Found an animal that is not yours? File a found report the same way. It is the same map, so the two halves of the search meet.

Move fast, and do the offline half too: call the microchip registry, ring the shelters and vets around you, and put a notice up where your neighbors actually look. NetForPet is one channel, not the whole search.

Finding and booking a pet pro

The Pet Pros directory covers vets, groomers, trainers, sitters, walkers, boarding and more, with reviews written by people who actually booked. Filter by type and rating, open a profile, and send a booking request with your dates and your pet.

The pro confirms or declines, and you settle the details in chat. Read this part carefully: NetForPet does not process payments. There is no in-app checkout for bookings. You pay the pro directly, by whatever means the two of you agree, and we currently take no commission from either side. Reviews unlock once a booking is marked completed โ€” that is what keeps them honest.

If you are the pro: a public profile, a client roster, bookings, reviews and a dashboard are free today, with optional paid pro tools possibly later.

The marketplace

Sell the pet things you no longer need, or find them second-hand: carriers, crates, coats, an unopened bag of food. Search, filter, and message the seller.

In-app card checkout is not live yet. For now you arrange payment and handover with the other person directly โ€” so meet somewhere public, look at the item before any money changes hands, and be wary of anyone in a hurry to move the conversation off the platform. Report listings that smell like a scam and we will take them down.

Adoption

Adoption runs through verified shelters and rescue organizations. Browse the animals looking for a home, or go through them one at a time, then apply to the organization directly. They run their own process, their own home checks and their own decision. NetForPet does not rehome animals itself and does not charge you to apply.

Privacy and what other people can see

Your health journal is private. So are your messages, your saved items, and your exact address โ€” which we never ask for and never show. Posts are seen by whoever their audience allows. Your name, your photo and your pets' profiles are visible to other people, which is rather the point of a social network, and an approximate location is visible if you set one.

Turn on a private account and new followers must be approved, while your new posts default to followers only. Mute words to keep them out of your feeds. Block anyone at all โ€” they lose access to you completely.

Notifications and email

Notifications are set per type, so you can keep lost-pet alerts and switch off everything else. Email is separate and just as granular: there is a do-not-disturb switch that stops all of it, and quiet hours that hold mail until the window ends. Every marketing email carries a one-click unsubscribe. Security and account emails always go through โ€” those you cannot turn off, and you would not want to.

Languages

NetForPet is fully translated into English, Hebrew, French, Spanish, Russian and Chinese, right-to-left layout included. Switch language in Settings; it changes the whole app, not just the menus.

Your account, data export and deletion

Export your data whenever you like โ€” profile, pets, posts and points come back as a single JSON file. Deletion is real: it removes your profile, pets, posts, listings and reports through a server-side cascade, not a hidden flag. Messages you already sent stay in the other person's chat, because that conversation is their copy too. There is no undo, so export first if you want to keep anything.

Safety and reporting

Every post, comment, profile, message and listing has a report button, and a person reads every report. Report animal cruelty, scams, harassment, impersonation, and anything that puts a person or an animal in danger. If an animal is in danger right now, do not wait for us: call an emergency vet or your local animal-welfare authority first.

The AI assistant and the species guides are general information. They are not veterinary advice, they can be wrong, and they must never be used in an emergency.

When something is broken

Start with the boring fixes: reload the page, and take the update banner if one appears. If you are seeing stale data, sign out and back in.

Still broken? Tell us on the contact page, or write to support@netfor.pet in any of our seven languages. Say what you did, what you expected, and what happened instead, and add the page address and the device you are on โ€” that is what turns a complaint into a fix. We read every message.

Still need help?

We read every message. Ask a question, report a problem, or suggest a feature โ€” and help shape where NetForPet goes next.
