๐Ÿ“– Care guide

The Exclamation Point Rasbora (Boraras urophthalmoides) comes from shallow, slow, heavily vegetated waters in Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam and reaches only about 1.5 to 2 cm. Its dark lateral line terminating in a round spot at the tail base gives it its name, with an iridescent gold or green stripe running above it that catches the light as the fish turns. Keep a group of twelve or more in a planted nano tank from 30 litres at 23-28C with a pH of 5.0 to 7.5 and soft to moderately soft water, gentle flow and dense fine planting. Like other Boraras it needs very small foods: powdered fry food, crushed micro-pellets, microworms, live baby brine and small frozen cyclops. It is peaceful, shy and easily intimidated, so the standard honest advice applies: give it its own quiet tank or pair it only with other true nano species and shrimp, never with barbs, larger tetras or anything fast enough to take its food first.
