๐ Care guide
The Lemonpeel Angelfish (Centropyge flavissima) inhabits the Pacific and reaches about 12-14 cm. Uniform bright yellow with blue eye-rings and fin margins, it is a beautiful but active grazer that needs a mature system with plenty of natural algae to thrive. House in a 190-litre (50-gallon) or larger tank rich in live rock and algae growth, at 24-26C, salinity 1.024-1.026, pH 8.1-8.4. A varied herbivore-leaning diet of marine algae, spirulina, nori, and mysis keeps its color vivid and prevents deficiency. It is one of the more coral-nipping dwarf angels, so it is best considered reef-safe with caution in tanks with prized corals or clams. Keep a single specimen and add it to an established tank.
