The Anglo-Nubian, developed in England from British does crossed with lop-eared African and Indian bucks, is a large dairy breed standing up to 81 cm and weighing 50-80 kg. Nubians are long-lived at 12-18 years and are renowned for rich, high-butterfat milk and an extended lactation season. These sociable goats crave company and attention, and their carrying bleat means they are best suited to properties without close neighbors. Provide a spacious, dry shelter, secure 1.2 m fencing, and daily access to browse and pasture. Feed quality hay, a dairy ration for milkers, and free-choice loose minerals with adequate copper. Fresh water, regular hoof trimming, parasite monitoring, and annual vaccinations keep Nubians productive and content within their herd.
