๐ Care guide
Talbot's Damselfish (Chrysiptera talboti) is found in the western Pacific around Indonesia, the Philippines and Papua New Guinea, and reaches only about 5 to 6 cm. Its soft lavender-pink body, yellow head and single black dorsal blotch set it apart visually, and its disposition sets it apart even more clearly. A 75 litre or larger reef tank at 24-27C, salinity 1.024-1.026, pH 8.1-8.4 suits it well, with rockwork and open water to hover in. Feed mysis, enriched brine, finely chopped seafood and quality marine pellets in small frequent meals. This is widely regarded as one of the most peaceful damselfish in the trade and is genuinely reef and community safe, comfortable with clownfish, gobies, dartfish and small wrasses. Small groups can be kept in a larger tank if introduced together. It is a good honest recommendation for someone who wants damsel colour and activity without damsel aggression.
