๐Ÿ“– Care guide

The yoyo loach, native to the slow rivers of northern India and Pakistan, is a lively and endlessly curious bottom-dwelling species that livens up a mid-to-large community aquarium. It should be kept in groups of at least four to five, as lone specimens become skittish or bully tankmates, and a group establishes a fascinating social hierarchy with playful chasing and occasional squabbles. Provide a sandy or smooth substrate, plenty of caves and driftwood, and stable water around 75-82F. Yoyos are voracious hunters of nuisance snails and readily take sinking pellets, wafers, frozen bloodworms, and blanched vegetables. As scaleless fish they are sensitive to medication and require pristine, well-oxygenated water. Their intelligence and constant activity make them entertaining, though their energy can overwhelm very timid tankmates.
