The Chantilly-Tiffany is a rare North American breed prized for its silky semi-long coat, most classically a rich chocolate, and its sweet, devoted temperament. It is a gentle, loyal cat that attaches closely to its family and prefers to stay near its favourite person, often chatting in a soft, trilling voice. Moderately playful rather than frantic, Chantillys enjoy interactive toys and quiet games but are equally content to supervise from a lap or a sunny window. Their affectionate, slightly reserved nature makes them ideal for calmer homes where they receive steady companionship. The single, low-shedding coat has no dense undercoat, so a comb two or three times a week keeps it silky and tangle-free. The breed is generally healthy; routine care means good dental hygiene, portion control to prevent weight gain, and monitoring kidney function as the cat matures.
