๐Ÿ“– Care guide

The Gold Ring Danio (Danio tinwini), also called the gold ring or Tin Win's danio, comes from tributaries of the Irrawaddy river in northern Myanmar and reaches about 2.5 to 3 cm. It was described in 2009 and named after the Burmese fish exporter who first supplied it. Its regular rows of dark spots continue into the dorsal, anal and caudal fins, which is unusual and makes it easy to identify. Keep a group of eight or more in a planted tank of 45 litres or more at 22-26C with a pH of 6.0 to 7.5 and soft to medium water with gentle to moderate flow, and cover the tank. Feed fine flake, crushed micro-pellets and small live or frozen foods such as daphnia, cyclops and baby brine. It is hardy, peaceful, shrimp safe with adult shrimp and among the best nano danios for a community tank, being far less boisterous than a zebra danio while keeping the same lively character.
