๐Ÿ“– Care guide

Reticulated pythons range across Southeast Asia, from forests to riverbanks and even city outskirts. They are giants, routinely exceeding 4 to 6 meters and weighing anywhere from 15 to over 70 kilograms, with the longest specimens surpassing 6 meters; they live 20 to 30 years. Their intelligence and strength are extraordinary, and dwarf island localities exist, but even these are large, demanding snakes. An adult requires a custom-built, extremely secure enclosure often 2.5 meters or longer, with robust heating to a warm side of 31-33C, a cool end in the mid 20s, and humidity of 60-70%. Feed appropriately sized frozen-thawed rabbits or poultry every two to four weeks. Because of their size and power, safe handling requires multiple experienced adults and never solo interaction at feeding. This is a species for dedicated, knowledgeable keepers only.
